Sophomore students and parents have begun their one on one conferences with Ms. Kempema to review four year plans, discuss college and career goals, and choose courses for next year. These meetings are scheduled in 20 minute blocks. Please sign up at this link ASAP to reserve your appointment if you have not done so yet. Counselors will meet alone with students who do not have a parent/guardian sign up for a conference. To prepare for your conference, you may review the choice sheet and course catalog on the Guidance & Counseling website.

The Locker at GHS
The Locker is a campus organization created as a safe place to anonymously acquire hygiene products, personal items, clothing, and school supplies for students who have an immediate need. If certain items are not currently available in The Locker, we will see donations to get the student's needs met - shoes, socks, jackets, etc. Items are retrieved on an honor systems.

Student Transfer Requests
Voluntary transfers will be permitted to transfer to other open high school campuses within the district on a space and staffing available basis.
Once a student transfer request is approved at the high school level, the student will be allowed to complete his/her high school years at the approved campus, subject to the terms and conditions noted on the transfer request form, as well as the requirement to maintain residence within the boundaries of Leander ISD.
If your child is an athlete, there are additional requirements that affect eligibility. An approved transfer does not make your child athletic eligible. Please contact the Athletics office (570-0170) to discuss eligibility.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays in January, GHS will run a late bus option at 5:00 PM for transportation home. The Grizzly Opportunity (GO) Bus will allow students to stay at school for an extra hour for a variety of opportunities such as attending tutorials, attending club meetings, making up hours-owed, and serving detention. Students wishing to take advantage of the GO Bus must report to their destination by 3:50 and remain in that location until 4:50, at which time a GO Bus pass will be issued. Students must have a GO Bus pass to board the 5:00 bus.
GO BUS FEBRUARY DATES: 2/2, 2/9, 2/14, 2/16, 2/21, 2/23, 2/28 GO BUS STOP LIST/SCHEDULE
Available Online NOW Leander ISD parents can enter their home address into Infofinder i, an online tool available on the LISD website, to look up their child’s bus number and pick-up/drop-off times and locations for the coming school year. In an effort to reduce expenses and ensure real-time accuracy, the district does not print and distribute bus route schedules prior to the start of school. Bus routes are subject to change, and so LISD parents are strongly encouraged to confirm their child’s bus information again the week prior to the start of school, Aug. 15-19. For transportation questions, please call 512-570-0700.
